Choormundo (Besan+Wheat Laddoo)




Churmundo ..... This one is my Mom’s special recipe.



Heat ¾ cup of ghee (should be thinned by heating) add one handful of besan & fry well till there is a nice aroma, add in 3/4 cup of Bombay rava & fry 5-10 mts, add in a pinch of orange colour. Mix well, Now add 2 heaped cups of fresh wheat flour, mix well & fry till brownish & you get room full of aroma. Add some cardamom powder. Remove from heat. Now add in 1-1/2 cups of powdered sugar & mix well with hand (be careful as this is hot). Add some raisins too if you like (its Optional). Bind to ladoos immediately. You will get about 30-35 small ladoos as shown in pic.
Note : It is a practice to be able to bind ladoos a bit dryer. So if you find the mixture too dry & are not able to bind the ladoos you can add some hot thinned ghee & mix well.
