Chilled Amla-Pudina Juice.


Chilled Amla-Pudina (Gooseberry-Peppermint Leaves) Juice ... A delicious juice filled with the goodness of Amla which is high in Vit. C and is very good for health in many ways ... Pudina / Mint is another ingredient of which leaves are highly beneficial to the health ... This is one Juice that can be enjoyed all round the year by adding it to different types of dishes .... Yumz .....


Amla / Gooseberry is now available almost all round the year, unlike olden days when we brined (preserved in salt water) them for later use. Now except for a few months in between they are available throughout the year. Amla / Gooseberry. needs no introduction as it is considered very beneficial for health and so are pudina / mint leaves. I will not run into the health details as all are very well versed with the same. So here is a delicious juice that you can relish both chilled and at room temperature throughout the year and yield all its benefits. Do prepare and relish this at least once of twice a month. 


** The recipe is really simple, Just chop / cut to pieces about 4 medium sized fresh Amala to pieces.  Put it in a mixer grinder along with 1/4 cup of pudina / mint leaves and one cup of water and make a smooth paste. Once it is smooth enough remove and add in another cup of water and strain through a fine sieve (Optional). Add in one cup of sugar, pinch of kala namak and mix well. Add in 2-3 cups of water and mix well. Add more water if necessary. Serve chilled garnished with fresh pudina leaves.
