Sambar with White Beans - Tomato - Potato - Radish.




Tingalavre Kolmbo beans, tomato, batato ani moolangi ghalnu.

Soak 1 cup of white beans overnight. Next morning pressure cook till done. Add any vegetables and potatoes to this, cook till done. (I have added 1 potato - cubed, 1 mediaum sized radish cubed, beans cut into 2” pieces & 2 tomatoes also cubed.

For Seasoning: Heat oil in kadai add 1/2 tsp rai (sasam) when they splutter add 7-8 curry leaves and 1/2 tsp hing powder, add 2tblsp of Sambar Powder and fry mix well. Add a bit of water if necessary. Add this to the cooked white beans and veggies. Bring to a boill, lower heat and simmer for 5-10 minutes. Garnish with coriander leaves & serve hot with rice.
