Chicken Drumsticks Pakoda


Clean the chicken drumsticks and pat dry. 


Marinate the chicken in the special chutney given below for 8-10 hrs. in fridge. Remove and bring to room temperature on its own. Add 1 cup of water to this and cook on low heat till the chicken is 80% done. It should be firm. Remove and cool.


Drain the water in which the chicken is cooked in a vessel, add in required amount of besan, chilly powder, pinch of salt and make to smooth thick paste. Dip the drumsticks in this covering all sides uniformly and deep fry till golden brown. Serve hot. Tastes.... yummy... really good.


For the Marination of the chicken I used My Special Sandwich Chutney with Coriander + Fresh Green Garlic + Dry fruits.


Recipe for the chutney: The following ingredients are to be ground to a smooth fine paste with little bit of water only. 1 packed cup of coriander leaves + 8-10 pudina leaves + 8-10 fresh green garlics springs + ½ cup of fresh grated coconut + 6-7 green chillies (as per your taste increase/decrease) + marble sized tamarind + ¼ inch piece of ginger + 4-5 curry leaves + 15 pieces of seedless dates + 3-4 apricots (the seeds should be removed and apricot should be cut to small pieces - soaked or micro waved in little water for 3 minutes) + 15 cashew nuts + 5 Almonds + ½ cup of raisins (washed) + salt to taste.
