Yummilicious ....

** Simple “Fish Meal” that includes fish curry and crisp fried fish is always a joy to relish and gives a lot of satisfaction to tummy, tongue and heart not to forget eyes that first savor the sight of the delicious tempting platter placed before us. In my home, usually when there is fish curry and fries, hubby does not touch any other dishes and though I do prepare them, the onus falls on me to finish the rest dishes while he gleefully enjoys fish curry with rice and if there are fries that much better and yes we always love our spicy fish curries with Ukde SheetHa ie Red Boiled Rice. So for today, I decided to forgo other dishes and keep it simple with curry and fries, so that it would not only cut down my burden of cooking other dishes, but would allow me also to relish fish to heart's content. Had been sometime since I had prepared fish, while my fish vendor who has personal issues is now selling selected fishes to just make go with her business, so to my dismay whenever I reach the market, most of them are gone or she has not brought them at all.

** Today too, though my fish vendor did have some more varieties of fishes, they were not so fresh as the mackerels, so purchased these with the thought of preparing both curry and the fries with same variety of fish. You see, king fish/ visonu/ surmai is my favorite fried fish and it disheartens me when I am unable to find them. However, one has to adjust in life, I guess, when it comes to food too just like other things. Nothing more to write, the curry and fries are before you to see, a wonderful meal which I served with red boiled rice/ ukde sheetHa which is the best one to be served with in case of fish curries. All the dishes are from our very own “GSB Konkani Saraswat Cuisine” followed by almost all fishitarians and this one is entirely my Ammas method of preparing the dishes. Sharing the links below as I have already included these dishes in the Blog before and is also my usual pattern with combo/solo meals thali. You can just go through the same for the detailed recipes and try them out in leisure as per convenience.
