Apple and Guava Fritters.


Cut the apple into rounds after removing the core. Prepare guava also in the similar way and keep them ready.

Make a thick batter with 1 cup maida, pinch of baking soda, pich of salt, 2-3 tsp sugar, 1/2 tsp cardamom powder, 1tblsp cornflour with required amount of water. Keep this for 10-15 minutes.

Heat oil in a kadai for deep frying. Dip the apple / guava pieces in the batter to evenly coat all sides of the fruit pieces. Leave it gently into the hot oil and deep fry till golden brown in colour. Remove and keep it on paper napkins for extra oil to drain off. Serve hot with tomato ketchup.
