"My Combo Meal Thali- 273 : Dalitoy (Spiced Tuvar Dal), Rulav-pitta Bhakri (Rava Thick Dosa), Loni (Butter), Veg. Kochla Nonche (Pickle), Magge Pachodi (South Indian Cucumber Pachadi/ Curry)" ... Simple No Onion- Garlic- Rice Meal ... sometimes it is necessary to keep light on tummy dishes for meal ... here is my one meal of the day ... Yummilicious .....
** Prepared rulav pitta bhakri/ rava bhakri (thick dosa) for lunch and served it with magge pachodi, truly delicious combo when you want to keep the food light as it was upwas/ fasting of no onion- garlic- rice day. Without running into much details let me share in the links to the dishes in thali as all have been shared several times before except for magge pachodi, the details of which I have shared in that post. Just to mention that in our GSB Konkani Sarasawat community most of us observe fast on Ekadashi or Saturday or any specific days as is the belief, by consuming only one meal a day and that is usually no onion- garlic- rice or non-veg dishes. Well, at least we follow that pattern as was followed in our family by my elders. Both hubby and me fast with just one meal for the whole day ie 24 hours and that’s it, try it, it works well without giving the body any issues, just see to it that you drink plenty of water through the day or very thin buttermilk without salt.
