My Simple Veg. Thali 179.

"My Simple Veg. Thali 179 : Kadgi Podi (Raw Jackfruit Fries), Kooka Upkari (Chinese Potato Bhaji), Matti Gulla- Harvo Tomato Bajji (Udupi Green Brinjal- Raw Tomato Chutney), Dalitoy (Spiced Tuvar Dal), SheetHa (Rice)" ... as the heat is creeping in going into simpler veggie dishes ... tummy full delicious Amchi lunch ... Yummilicious ….

** It’s simple veggie meal with all dishes our very own Konkani Saraswat Cuisine once again. A very simple yet appealing meal for all amchies who love all three side dish items from the course. Yes, it is true that in my community the fascination of kadgi (raw jackfruit), kooka (chinese potato) and matti gulla (green brinjal from the city of Udupi) is so much that we never tire of dishes prepared using the same. For today’s lunch I prepared a few podi/ fries with raw jackfruit/ kadgi and kooka upkari/ bhaji out of chine potato. My hubby’s friend had given a few matti gulla from Udupi and I prepared bajji ie bharta sort of dish with addition of raw tomatoes in place of tamarind. The lunch was in all a very happy meal, do try this simple combo if all the ingredients are available in your vicinity too. Have a lovely meal with your family and friends, or you can also choose from the various option in the blog to which I am sharing a few links below.
