My Veg. Thali~ 223.


“My Veg. Thali~ 223 : Gosale Shire Gooli (Ridge Gourd Skin Chutney), Taushe’- Gajjar- Piyava Raita (Cucumber- Carrot- Onion Salad with Curds), Harve Kele Upkari (Raw Banana Bhaji), Tingalavre Saar Upkari (White Beans Patla Bhaji), Boiled Egg (Motto), SheetHa (Rice)” … I always try going lighter on these 15 days of pitra paksha period as it is a sort of break except for 2 days from the festive dishes and once again before its festive season … so simple- healthy meals are the in thing these days … Yummilicious …. 

** Come the month of June and the festive season begins and by the time 2 months have passed that is precisely with the festive of Ananta Chaturdashi comes a break of approximately 15 days when its pitra paksha (Mahalaya month) ie the shradha days. These days are devoted to those who have departed and made their journey beyond life to their heavenly abode. Except for 2 days that is one day as per the thithi and the final Mahalaya Amavasya day there is no festive days in between, so I try my level best to keep my food preparations simple as once these days are over then comes on the Navaratri festival and continues with Diwali till Kartik month with back to back festive days.
