** As you all know colocasia leaves are the most favorite leaves of every Konkani Saraswat and we prepare many dishes using them from our traditional cuisine. Though Colocasia leaves are found almost all year round they grow in in abundance during monsoon time, are the tender leaves are the most sought after during this period to prepare curry dishes.

** Patrade paan available during monsoon period differs from that which is got during other seasons. It is believed these should be consumed during monsoon for certain health benefits which are found in them only during monsoon periods. There are other veggies and leaves too obtained during monsoon period only, so prepare and enjoy them whenever possible.
