“My Vijaya Dashmi Festive Thali~ 240.

“My Vijaya Dashmi Festive Thali~ 240 : Mooga Dali Godshe (Green Gram Payasam), Mooga Patrado (Green Gram Colocasia Leaves Steamed Rolls), Cabbage Ambado (Fritters), Beetroot Tomato Saaru (Saar), Kuvale Puli Koddel (Ash Gourd Curry), Beetroot Upkari (Bhaji), Surna Koota (Yam Curry), Kokum Taak (Buttermilk), SheetHa (Rice)” … as Vijaya Dashami (Dusherra) had fallen on two days this time, I felt I should prepare my offering to Goddess Durga and Lord Rama on both days after all it is a joy to celebrate “Victory of Good over Evil” … I also wanted to thank God in my own way for giving me the strength to fulfill my wish of making special offering on all Nine Days to all nine swaroopas of Mata … Seeking Blessings from Karunamayi Durga Maa to Bless us all with good health, strength, happiness and peace …

** I have already mentioned that this year the 9th day ie the last day of Nava Durga of Navratri and the 10th day of Vijaya Dashmi have collided onto the same day. While many in the northern parts have celebrated it on 25th many in southern parts have done so on the following day ie 26th … As all 10 days are auspicious and since I had taken effort this year to prepare a meal offering everyday I just prepared the same on both days to avoid the issue, after all the more days worshiped the better always … Sharing the links below, please select the links given for the recipe.

** For “Kokum Taak (Buttermilk)” Recipe, I followed an instant method. I used Aagal a kokum concentrate available in stores. You just need to add it on to any dish you desire to add kokum and it serves the purpose. I came across this recently and after that I always use the same. Just beat one cup of thick curds with 2 cups of water and ¼ cup of kokum aagal well. Check and add in more water if necessary. Add some finely chopped fresh coriander leaves to the same along with a few crushed green chillies, a dash of hing powder and jeera powder and mix well. Allow to rest for some time and serve as it is or you can sieve the same and then serve.

** For the Recipe of "Cooking Rice Starch Free/Vanu ghalnu SheetHa", where the Rice is cooked and the water is drained off to remove excess starch, Please follow the link given below ….
