Simple meal with Roti, Green Chilly Pickle, Black Gram Raw Banana Bhaji, Curd Sweet Poha and Saar.

“Today’s Meal : Multigrain Chapati (Roti), Tarni Mirsange Nonche (Hari Mirch ka Achar/ Green Chilli Pickle), Chano- Harve Kele Upkari (Whole Black Bengal Gram- Raw Banana Bhaji), Takka- Godu Povu (Buttermilk- Jaggery Beaten Rice), Chane- Kokum Saaru (Saar)” … aaiche shenvarche simple jevana …sometimes you do need to go light on food to balance through the week and also to attend to other loads of work lying round the home waiting to be attended too … Sigh, whoever said life is easy, it is more so tougher now with all work lined up from A-Z a never ending process … anyways, lunch was indeed Yummilicious ….

** Once again a simple combo meal that can be relished during upvas/ fasting days. In our community, we GSB, Konkani Saraswat’s do eat poha/ pova on these days while in some parts it is not so as poha is prepared out of rice and usually it is avoided during fast. During Ekadashi day we do avoid them, but on other occasions we are not so strict about the same. So today I prepared poha with curds and jaggery too along with other simple roti with chana bhaji. Once again I will be sharing the links to each recipe below as they are already blogged in before and it is my regular practice to so. The lock down in our place is being opened slowly and now we need to be more careful as all are bound to be out in streets attending their chores, office etc. So keep a safe distance from unknown people or while going out for purchases and wear your mask and remember to keep washing hands often to avoid getting infected. Stay Safe, Stay Blessed and try to keep children and aged at home and if possible yourself too.

** Sharing the links to recipe of the dishes in the picture shared above, do try them out if available and relish it with your family …..
