Ukde Pejja with Vaingana~Mashinga Saanga Talasani and Happla Kismuri.

Pejje jevan jeevaka hitachi jatta meaning porridge is a life saver sort of dish ... Yummilicious .......


** This is a Pejje Jevan Thali or combo meal, that is a comfort food for many people specially during monsoon or winter. It spreads in warmth in the body and induces a good sleep. Red boiled rice pejja is considered to be very healthy option among porridge / peja as it is unpolished and has more or nutrients intact in the same. I am just sharing a combo pattern here that is relished in most of the Konkani Saraswat homes in Southern parts of India. I will not run into details much and will share in the links to the particular dishes separately below, do try them out and relish with your family and enjoy the health benefits. Remember to always serve the rice porridge / pejja with a dollop of fresh homemade cow's ghee for added health benefits, Ayurveda gives in a lot of importance to ghee that is obtained from cow's milk, as it is loaded with good nutrients.
