My Thali 71.


My Thali 71 ... “Triangle folded (Layered) Paratha, Drumstick Leaves~ Curds Tambuli, Chana Dal Panchkadayi, Potato~ Drumstick Leaves Bhaji, Dalitoy, SheetHa (Rice), Yard long Beans~ Drumstick~ Hogplum Sukke” … This was my lunch on Krishna Janamshtami day … A lovely~ delicious Vegetarian Thali that is sure to be loved by one and all … Yumz …. 

** Once again posting My Festival Veg. Thali for all my friends here. This thali was actually prepared during Ashtami, which I could not post as I was very busy. So do excuse, you can however, try this combo out for coming festivals. Likewise, I will not run into any details here on any individual dishes as by now all of you are aware that they are all shared as individual posts. This is just a combination pattern for you to follow if at all you are confused as to what you want to prepare if you have friends or relatives over for lunch / dinner/ festive times etc.. Today’s is a delicious Amchi, GSB Konkani Saraswat traditional dishes along with some Maharashtrian style dishes in the Thali.. 1.. "Triangle Folded (Layered) Parathas (Chapathi)” ... These are delicious parathas folded into triangles and rolled after applying ghee/oil within, to get layered parathas ... tastes awesome when served with any dish specially potato bhaji ... Yummilicious ... I have included step by step picture collage and as you all will agree picture says it all ... 😃☺️😁

2. “Drumstick Leaves (Moringa)~ Curds Tambuli” … Moringa/ Drumstick / Mashinga saanga pallo is very well known for its health benefits … Today ie. on Dahi Handi day (Mosaru Kudke) ie., the next day of Shri Krishna Janamashtami it is a tradition among Mahrashtrians to prepare any dish with the addition of Moringa leaves … try this yummy dish and enjoy the health benefits to stay fit ...

3. "Chane Dali~ Tilu~ Layee Pitte Panchakadayi/Chana Dal~ Sesame~ Puffed Paddy Rice Powder Panchakajjaya" ... for today's Shri Krishna Janamshtami Naivedyam ... Panchakadayi/ Panchakajjaya is a sweet dish prepared using five ingredients hence the name pancha meaning five kachaya meaning that which is prepared out the same .......

4. “Potato~Drumstick Leaves (Moringa) Bhaji” … Moringa/ Drumstick/ Mashinga saanga pallo is very well known for its health benefits … Today ie. on Dahi Handi day (Mosaru Kudke) ie., the next day of Shri Krishna Janamashtami it is a tradition among Mahrashtrians to prepare any dish with the addition of Moringa leaves … try this yummy bhaji with poori or roti and enjoy the health benefits to stay fit ... :)

5. “Dalitoy (Spiced Tuvar Dal)" …. A delicious Konkani Saraswat Dal that tastes well with rice. A must during every meal in our community, we simply love our dal with rice.

6. “Cooking Rice Starch Free / Vanu ghalnu SheetHa” … Rice cooked and the water is drained off to remove excess starch. The rice remains well cooked without sticking to each other … Do try this formula / method of cooking as it is very healthy.

7. "Alsando~Mashinga Sanga~ Ambado ghalnu Sukke/ Yard Long Beans~ Drumsticks~ Hogplum Dry Masala Curry" ... A delicious semi dry side dish from Konkani Cusine served along with dalitoy (Spiced Tuvar Dal) and SheetHa (Rice) or even with roti/chapatti/dosa ...
