Chocolate Coated Fresh Strawberries ........... tried this for the first time for Strawberry Ice Cream Topping .........
Chocolate's are a favorite of both children and elders alike. There is something in chocolates that brighten up one's mood, especially that of children. Chocolate coating is something that is now being done not only only cakes and biscuits, but almost on all types of foods. So many dishes are dipped in chocolate for that final glowing awesome touch for brighten and enhancing the tastes. I have dipped strawberries in melted chocolate here to serve topped on Strawberry Ice Cream.
For chocolate coating..... Put some chocolate pieces in a microwave bowl. I used Morde Dark Compound Chocolate Bar. Put the bowl in the oven and micro wave for 2 minutes or till it starts to melt. Remove add a few drops of water and mix well till smooth. The mixture should be of thick dropping consistency.
Pierce the strawberry with a fork or tooth prick at the top on stem side so that you get a better grip while holding on to the strawberry. Roll up to ¾ level of the strawberries in the chocolate and place them on a tray greased with melted butter / ghee. Put them in the freezer till set. Remove and check in an hour’s time. The chocolate will have set on the fruit. Serve it topped on ice cream. Serve within a day or two of preparing.
