"My Combo Meal 114 : Little Millet -Green Gram Dal Mint Flavored Spiced Khichidi (Sama- Moong Dal Pudina Flavored Spicy Khichidi) with Ginger Dal (Adraki Dal) and Nachani (Finger Millet) Papad" ... A little bit of fresh homemade curds too goes well with this delicious flavorful spicy khichidi, papad is off course store bought, I just deep fried it ... Yummilicious ......
** Once again a simple combo meal pattern that I prepared for lunch. Spiced khichidi tastes awesome during monsoon when its raining heavily and you can’t get out of the house. The mind then starts wandering and most of the time it’s towards kitchen where you get soul food that are very heart warming. Bland khichidi with just rice and moong dal is often prepared but there are times when the heart craves for spices, so its spiced mint flavored khichidi prepared with little millet for a change from regular rice with moong dal that’s for lunch. Though I would have loved to relish this with some raita, my choice definitely would be onion raita, I fell short of curds and it was raining too heavily to go out to fetch some, so ended up with ginger dal instead my next best choice. In all this meal has to be had steaming hot or it loses taste. A few papads served along with tastes better and yummier. The nachani papad is tore bought and I just deep fried it. I have already made an individual post of both the dishes already as separate posts, so will share the link to each of them below, as is my usual pattern. Do go through the links of the individual dishes for the recipe and enjoy them with your family and friends. Do have loads of fun this monsoon but do keep yourself safe and please help those in distress during the season when at times water is clogged in your vicinity. Stay Blessed … Always.
