Thali 61.


My Simple Thali 61. ... "Gosale shire gooli (Ridge gourd peel chutney), Badami Ambe peshi (Badami Mango Slices), Batate Katla Upkari (Potato triangular cuts bhaji), Pagila podi (Spine gourd/Teasel gourd fries), Dalitoy (Spiced Tuvar dal), SheetHa (Rice)" ... When it's raining crazy, you really don't feel like going out and purchasing veggies, so adjustment karna padta hey ... Yummy Yumz ... 

** A delicious thali again with the all itmes from Konkani Saraswat Cuisine. Pagila / Spine Gourd podi is a monsoon delicacy as the veggie is available only during that period. Rest of the recipes have all been included in the Blog before and are very common one’s in Amchi dishes. So without running into the details sharing the link to each item and you may just click on the link for the same. Once again requesting you to bear if the inconvenience if any, but trust me it is easier this way as there is no pointing in flooding the blog every time by repeating the recipes. You can prepare anyway … but the first one is the traditional one’s prepared in all homes.

2.. “Batate Katla Upkari (Potato Triangular sliced bhaji)”, A delicious upkari / baji prepared out of potatoes cut into thin slices of triangle shape, tastes awesome …

3. “Pagila Podi (Spine Gourd / Teasel Gourd Tava Fries), A delicious monsoon delicacy that tastes great when sliced and either deep fried or tava fried too …

4. “Dalitoy (Spiced Tuvar Dal)" …. A delicious Konkani Saraswat Dal that tastes well with rice. A must during every meal in our community, we simply love our dal with rice.

5. “Cooking Rice Starch Free / Vanu ghalnu SheetHa” … Rice cooked and the water is drained off to remove excess starch. The rice remains well cooked without sticking to each other … Do try this formula / method of cooking as it is very healthy.
