Shubha Deepawali to all my friends ... May the lamps of Diwali illuminate your life and bring your family good forturne ... may each one's home be filled with happiness ... Stay Blessed Spread Happiness ...

** With Sri. Lakshmi Pooja on Amavasya, Deepawali comes to an end. Wishing all my friends on auspicious occasion “A Very Happy Lakshmi Pooja Festive Celebration … May Goddess Sri. Lakshmi grant us all with good health, wealth and prosperity … Stay Blessed … Spread Happiness … Have a safe Diwali” …

** Goddess Lakshmi pooja is celebrated with great pomp in India. The festival is observed in every Hindu home in their own way and is usually observed during late evening period on Amavasya Day. I have written about the pooja elsewhere and you can check up on the stories section for the same. Gud Poha or Godu Povu as in konkani is Beaten rice prepared with melted jaggery with addition of coconut is a traditional sweet dish prepared as Naivedyam/ offering to Goddess, for evening Pooja.

** With changing times, people have adapted to different methods, dishes to be offered to Goddess as is their family preference. During the lunch time too a sweet dish is prepared as an offering to Lord Kubera the God who actually grants wealth along with Goddess Lakshmi. A few other items too are prepared for lunch as Naivedyam which I have kept the same over year with minute changes at times. There are many posts on Naivedyam meal options which you may browse through and try out too.

** Sharing links to recipes of items in my festive Thali above as they are already shared elsewhere before too as is my usual practice with Thali posts as there is no point in repeating them all over again. Do excuse inconvenience caused if any. Do try these dishes and enjoy with your family and friends. Festive seasons are all about enjoying good food with family and friends without any tension or guilt after all its by and large the happiness shared together that counts. Stay Blessed- Spread Happiness.
