My Delicious Veg. Thali No~ 471.

“My Delicious Veg. Thali No~ 471: Tava Fried Jeev Kadgi Podi (Breadfruit Fries), Taushe' Hullela (Cucumber Curry), Kothambari Pallo- Gosale Shire Gooli (Coriander Leaves- Ridge Gourd Skin Chutney), KhatHa- MeetHa- TeekHa Moong Dal with Mullangi- Ambado (Green Gram Dal with Radish- Hogplum), SheetHa (Rice)” … There is a popular line that goes "मैं अकेला ही चला था जानिब-ए-मंज़िल मगर, लोग साथ आते गए और कारवाँ बनता गया!" (I started alone towards my destination, but people kept joining me and a caravan/ group was formed) … this is exactly what happened with my today’s thali … I was all set to prepare only dal with hogplum- radish and tava fried jeev kadgi podi … the other two just happened along as I needed to finish off those ingredients … there is something different for all in this Thali; like each one’s favorite dish … definitely a scrumptious heartwarming meal … Yummilicious …

** The meaning of the popular line on title is used to inspire and motivate anyone embarking on a new endeavor or journey. It means when a person moves alone towards his destination with right intention and hard work, then people automatically join him on the way and a big caravan or group is formed. I am sure many will agree with me that this saying holds true for meals too, we have all done this end times. We start with the intention of a few dishes and end up with a few more and then a little more.

** It all happens when you ransack the fridge and find veggies that need to be cooked or done with which otherwise will see the face of dustbin next day. To avoid wastage we prepare one after the other and before you realize there is a platter of delicious dishes to be served and surprise the family. Lol, just look at those faces with surprised expression wondering if it is a celebration, they have missed. Well, leave them to guess work on what the occasion is while you go ahead and enjoy the meal to heart’s content.
