Thali 167 : Radish (Moolangi) slices with pepper powder, Kirlailele Moogu ani Vali ghalnu Upkari (Sprouted Green Moong/gram and Malabar Spinach Bhaji), Patrade panna Muddo (Spicy Colocasia/Arvi Leaves Steamed Idly), Tomato- Fresh Turmeric Roots (Haldi Mande/ Amba Haldi) Saar and SheetHa (Rice)" ... Delicious healthy tummy filling lunch ..... Yummilicious .....

** Here is a simple Vegetarian Amchi Thali, that consists mainly dishes from Konkani Saraswat Cuisine. Simple healthy thali is always a sort of heartwarming to have specially during winters when the tummy wants to be full. Recently I began noticing that my Thali, which I had started from requests from friends for combo ideas, was turning slightly on the heavier side which was good as a Sunday or weekend meal, but could not be relished on a daily basis. Thanks to Sumana who send me a mail, requesting to give her healthy meal ideas for her teenagers who would not touch high calorie foods, at the same time she wanted to keep it nearer to our roots of Konkani Saraswat Cuisine so that the older generations in the home would not feel deprived. Now that set the ball rolling and I was sort of in a dilemma as this request needed a little bit of thinking over and planning of menu. Well, I am not a nutritionist, so I wrote back to her saying I was not the right person to give her the menu, but she insisted that I guide her by sharing a few combos only that were from amchi Konkani dishes and the rest she would prepare in similar manner browsing through the Blog.

** I have posted many thali posts crossing over 160 posts and I am sure there have been some on these lines, but yes, I am doing my best to think and share something that will satisfy all, is seasonal and full of nutrients, minerals and proteins too. Even, if I have helped a few friends cook and satisfy their family by my attempt, I will be very thankful to God and my friends for the same. A big bunch of thanks to all of you who send in those lovely mails. As is my usual pattern with Thali meals, I have already posted each dish as separate posts, so sharing their links below for easy access to the recipes. Do follow the link to that recipe which you would love to try out. You can also refer other Thali, and try out various combinations given there. Once again, I want to clarify that I am not a nutritionist but a person who just loves to cook and relish the same while trying to keep up with healthy lifestyle. I believe there is nothing like a warm healthy home cooked food to relish, when returning home tired. Have a lovely day, Stay Blessed~Spread Happiness and do not forget to send me feed backs, it helps me more than what you really think, it keeps me on my toes, making me healthier too.
