"My Simple Veg. Thali~ 241 : Roasted Papad, Kulitha Upkari (Horse Gram Bhaji), Avale Nonche (Gooseberry Pickle), Kulitha Saaru (Horse Gram Saar), SheetHa (Rice) topped with Homemade Butter" ... when it is kulitha Saaru and Upkari for lunch I love adding on some butter to the same as it tastes wonderful, also I don't need any other dishes along with it ... simple but tummy satisfying lunch ... Yummilicious ....
** Once again a simple meal, as I had an emergecy work that needed immediate attention in my home. Somehow our building is infested with termites and it has unfortunately reached a few homes, mine being one of them. A few months back despite being treated somehow it has spread in a few more places so the termite control servicemen came and treated my full home, all furniture, cupboards etc. and that really was a major task that left me drained not to mention giving me backaches the whole day. Fortunately kulitha/ horse gram saar and upkari/ bhaji prepared with it is one of our favorite so kept the meal simple with it. I always serve the saar with a blob of butter as it tastes great. Added on some pickle and roasted a few papads and it was done. A delicious simple lunch that we really enjoyed after all the heavy meals of Navratri. Sharing links to the recipes of the items in thali as is my usual practice with thali posts.
