“My Delicious Non.Veg. Thali No~ 461: Mitkesange Talasani (Cluster Beans Bhaji), Magge PuliKoddel (South Indian Cucumber Curry), Sukkale Sungta Panna Upkari (Dry Prawns Spicy Curry), Simple Hinga Dali (Asafoetida Tuvar Dal), Ghee (Toop), Limiyo (Lime), SheetHa (Rice)” … my meal is sort of a mix and match of both veggie and non-veggie dishes … I would say, a little bit of each person's preference … just go ahead, pick your choice and enjoy … Yummilicious …
** Some days you end up with a dish that was not planned for like this dry fish curry. I wanted to check out if my fish vendor had some fish suitable for tava fries. A call to her made me realize the situation they go through during rains, she told me she had nothing I would prefer. Well, as it was too late to order online sources, I ended up preparing panna upkari with dry prawns which luckily is always in stock.
** Stocking up on dry prawns and brine items is always a life saver during monsoon for me. The unpredictable rains always turns the locality into a mess making venturing out for veggies impossible not to mention the conditions of veggies. Coconut is another item I always stock up on as it ensures a proper meal for us. One should always be prepared for all sorts of issues when it comes to food grains, so be alert always.

** Always top Dalitoy (Spiced Tuvar Dal) with a dollop of fresh homemade “Cow’s Ghee (Toop)” while serving with rice during meals. It not only enhances the taste of the meals but also makes it that much more healthier. Cow’s ghee contains all nutrients required to balance body heat (agni) needed for digestion as per Ayurveda. Try it for a few months and you will be surprised by the results it will show on your body.
** Again when serving plain dal that has not been “Tempered/ Panna/ Tadka” then make it a point to serve with wedges or a piece of “Limbiyo (Lime/ Lemon)” to bring out the tangy taste to meals, it tastes wonderful, give it a try.
