My Delicious Fish Thali No~ 456.


“My Delicious Fish Thali No~ 456: Tava Fried Noglekana (Kane/ Lady Fish/ Muddoshi), Donnemirsanga- Piyava Bhutti (Capsicum- Onion Semi- Dry Curry), Mori Hinga Randai/ Hummana (Small Shark Asafoetida Flavour Curry), SheetHa (Rice)” … fish meals are always a delight to relish and you really do not need any other dishes served along with them … all recipes are from GSB Konkani Saraswat Cuisine and my thali also includes capsicum bhutii a side dish for my veggie friends here … try it in your home and enjoy with family … Yummilicious …

** There was a time, maybe a decade back or so when I never thought much about right combinations and went ahead preparing that which was loved the most in my home. It was only when I began to understand the nutritional values of food especially veggies that I made it a point to think on right mix and match of dishes when it was a thali preparation. These days I usually make a point to add on an upkari/ bhaji or salad/ raita to all my meals at lunchtime. However, there is no hard and fast rule as such and there are exceptions like in this thali. I had 3 large sized capsicum which I needed to finish off, though I thought of some simple bhaji the desire to relish bhutti got the best of me.

** Bhutti is a semi dry masala side dish that tastes best served with dalitoy- sheetHa (dal- chawal) in combo or with any dishes of your choice. Today, though I already had fish curry to serve I also included bhutti and in all it was a fantastic meal.
