“My Delicious Veg. ** There are some fruits/ veggies that are not liked by many either for their taste or odor and one such fruit is Kaju/ Cashew Apple Fruit. While the nut is enjoyed by almost everybody the fruit portion is brushed aside. However, the fruit is loaded with nutrients and there are plenty of ways in which this juicy fruit can be made adaptable to palate and sukke is just one of them. I will share more soon, so keep following my Blog.
** Sukke is a traditional semi dry masala side dish from GSB Konkani Saraswat Cuisine loved by almost all. All those who browse through my blog are aware that this is a delicious dish served during meals with either dal or tomato saaru along with rice. It is a simple yet fantastic combo meal and addition of a few fries/ crispies/ void/ papads/ bajia (bajo) served makes the meal that much more appealing and tastier.
** SaarUpkari with Pulses is another dish that I love and often prepare them either with one pulse or in combination. However, one important step I usually follow is addition of veggie mostly gardudde to the curry. It not only blends well, but imparts a lovely taste of its own making the dish much more healthier. You will find more information in those particular posts, so do browse through and try them in your home.
** Without running into details let me straight away share the recipes to the dishes on the thali picture above as they are already shared before elsewhere in the Blog. I will be sharing a common links at the bottom of this recipe for easy access of all the dishes, which you may browse through in leisure. This was my lunch of the day and it was a fantastic one, so go ahead and try it, if like me you love cashew apple too.

** For “Bajjile Mirsange Happolu (Roasted Chilly Papad)”, there is no recipe as such, I just roasted on open flame the store bough happolu/ chilly papad and served it immediately. You can apply a thin film of coconut oil over the roasted papad for added taste which is a followed pattern by GSB’s. It’s a personnel choice.
