** Once again a delicious Veg. Thali, most of the dishes which are from the Konkani Saraswat Cuisine. Recently, I have been getting requests for simple thali meals, which surprised me a lot. I always felt that there is nothing to post in a simple thali as these patterns are followed in most of Konkani homes. A young girl recently married sent me a mail, saying she was confused about dishes to be cooked on daily basis, as when she decided something with masala she was not sure of upkari that would get along with it. To her, through my Blog I would like to say, that what you prepare and serve with love, will be relished by your family equally with respect and love for sure. Don’t be in built up pressure all the time about food, just go with the flow. Check out the veggies in your fridge and follow what comes to your mind when you look at a particular veggie. We all have bad days, like today for me, I could not prepare a masala dish though I really wanted to.
** My knee pain that has started off recently needed rest as per my Dr. and standing for long time was not adviced, so I have to cut short on preparation of dishes for some period till I get the go signal, how much will I seriously follow it being a foodie is totally another issue. Here is a very simple thali that is healthy and can be prepared easily and within a short time too. A tasty and delicious veggie platter, that is sure to be one hearty meal for many simple food lovers as there is tendle talasani included which is every Amchi/GSB’s favorite upkari, so is Surna Kachra ie deep fried yam squares. I have already posted each dishes as separate posts before, so sharing their links below for easy access to the recipes. Do follow the link to that recipe which you would love to try out. There are many more delicious and simple dishes that can be easily prepared in the Blog. You can also refer other Thali’s, and try out various combinations given there.
