Yummy Yumz …...
Once again a my simple Thali post for all my friends here. As always, I will not run into any details here on any individual dishes as they are all shared in individual posts. This is just a combination pattern for you to follow if at all you are confused as to what you want to prepare if you have friends or relatives over for lunch / dinner or sometimes on daily basis or weekends. Today’s is a typical Amchi, GSB Konkani Saraswat traditional dishes in the Thali. Sharing the links to each of the items below, please go through the link for the recipe that you desire to try out.

1. “Spicy Oil Free Raw Mango Pickle with With Small Pieces (Podi) and Finely Chopped (kochla) Pickle” ... A little bit of pickle along with food goes a long way be it summer, winter or rainy season ... It tickles the taste bud and makes the dishes that more appealing when a little bit of is served on plate on a corner ....

2. “Amshe’~Tikshe Tomato~Vaingana Bajji (Gojju) / A Tangy~Spicy Tomato~Eggplant (Brinjal) BhartHa”… A delicious khatt~teekHa Gojju with a slight difference from the usual one’s that tastes awesome when served with Dalitoy (Spiced Tuvar Dal) and Rice … Usually tomatoes are added to Vaingana when preparing the gojju, here I have prepared it the other way round … Yummilicious

4. “Dalitoy (Spiced Tuvar Dal)" …. A delicious Konkani Saraswat Dal that tastes well with rice. A must during every meal in our community, we simply love our dal with rice.

5. “Cooking Rice Starch Free / Vanu ghalnu SheetHa” … Rice cooked and the water is drained off to remove excess starch. The rice remains well cooked without sticking to each other … Do try this formula / method of cooking as it is very healthy.
