A dish prepared with patrade dipped in batter and deep fried ...........
Patrade Pakoda’s were made on whim just to see how it would taste and it turned out to be just wonderful. Slice the partrade into thin slices. If Patrado is kept in fridge for some hours or overnight it becomes easier to slice them. I have prepared pakoda’s of about 12 pieces.
To make besan batter : In a bowl take 1 cup of besan (Bengal gram flour), add 1 tsp of red chilly powder, pinch of hing and salt to taste and mix to a smooth batter with water to a make it into a binding paste. The paste should not be too thick or too thin.
Heat oil in kadai for deep frying. Dip each pieces in the batter and deep fry in hot oil, till done. Serve with Tomato ketchup.
