Crispy Paper Dosa with Potato~Prawn Spicy Curry.

“Crispy Paper Dosa served with Batato~Sungata Songa / Potato~Prawn Spicy Curry” … Prawns are always user friendly in preparation of many dishes, they mix in well with veggies adding on their own aroma to the curry … our very own amchi spicy batate songa tastes awesome when prawns are added on to it … Here is a delicious combo lunch that’s a hit in my home … Yummy Yumz …

** All those who follow my simple home cooked food blog are aware that “Songa” is a spicy Konkani Saraswat dish that I have posted many times in various combos before and also that it is prepared both in Veg and Non.Veg. ways. From my childhood I relished dosa with any curry be it Vegetarian or Non-Vegetarian. I had grown up watching my father do the same and I guess I picked up that habit from him. My Mom always finished cooking most of the lunch dishes early morning as she had to pack lunch off to office for my uncles, so by the time breakfast was served the lunch would be prepared and packed in huge tiffin carriers. If the gravy curry appealed to my father, he always ate the dosa with the same instead of chutney or bhaji. I used to watch it and though during my childhood I was a reluctant and fussy eater, I picked this habit later on after my marriage as I too used to finish preparing my lunch dishes before serving bf. As my hubby then carried lunch to office.

** I am an example or should I say living proof that children are always keen observers and love to copy elders and thus follows the ancestral habits I guess. Many of my habits that I now have, my Mother says are that of my father, which must have registered somewhere in my mind through childhood and have surfaced now. Coming to the curry, semi dry curries taste so good with dosa that once you relish them in that manner you will always love to have at least one dosa in that pattern. Try having fish curries with dosa or Chicken curries too. I always relish my chicken curry with panpolo or masala dosa, it tastes so yummy. Panna upkari ie spicy fish curry is another fish curry that goes very well with sevai / string hoppers and I always make it a point to make and relish that combo at least once in a year. Coming to the above recipes, I have already posted them as separate posts. This is just combo meal pattern for you to follow if you desire. Please do go through the links given below to individual dishes for the recipe. Thanking each one of you for your strong support on my Blogging always.
