Yummilicious …
** Keerlu/ Bamboo Shoots are always in stock as I brine them during monsoon when in season. The edge portion of bamboo shoots referred to as keerla neeli in Konkani too can be brined, however, the shelf life is short compared to the whole bamboo’s that brine well for over a year. I have been wanting to prepare both sanna idly and sannapolo with the brine keerla neeli which somehow took longer than anticipated.
** Here it is, half of the preserve is prepared as sanna idly and the other half I have still kept brined to be prepared as sannapolo in a few weeks time. The recipe is the same as other sanna idly except for the combo of keerlu and cabbage. I did want to add onions as it tastes great, however had as it was a NO Onion- Garlic meal, just went ahead without the same, try it if you have access to bamboo shoots, tastes great.
** I have already written all that I have to say in individual posts of the recipes and anything more mentioning would only be repetitive.
