Thali No. 392 : Seemebadanekayi (Chow Chow/ Chayote Squash) Morkolumbo, Tarni Kadgi Podi (Tender Raw Jackfruit Fries), Vari- Moong Dal Spiced Khichidi (Indian Barnyard Millet- Green Gram Dal Spiced Porridge), Ambuli Nonche (Raw Mango Pickle)” … sharing today’s simple NO Onion- Garlic- Rice Meal on the auspicious Occasion of Margarshira Masa (Dhanurmasa) Ekadashi (Mokshada Ekadashi) and Gita Jayanti) … Jai Sri. Krishna ..

** Today is a very auspicious day for Hindus all round the world. It’s Margashira Masa (Dhanurmasa) Ekadashi also know as Mokshad Ekadashi the day when Sri. Krishna delivered Bhagavad Gita to Arjuna in the battlefield of Kurukshetra. “Bhagavad Gita is known as the Song of God”, as the name comes from the Sanskrit words bhagavad, meaning "God", and gita, meaning "song", including the teachings imparted by Sri. Krishna to Arjun explaining the importance of 'Karma' or duty, immortal soul, the right way to lead a life and it is believed that one findsl solutions to his problems in them.

** For decades now we have been observing Ekadashi days by having a NO Onion- Garlic- Rice- Non.Veg Meals at home. Though I would have loved to observe a fasting without food consumption, I am unable to do so due to medications and may be lack of a little bit of will power too. Maybe some day in future I will do so, not sure, but for now, its these meals once a day. I have already shared the recipes to the dishes in the picture, so sharing links to the same as is my usual practice with thali meals as there is no pont in repeating, do excuse. Have a great day, stay blessed- spread happiness.
