“My Scrumptious Non-Veg Thali~ 357 : Cucumber (Taushe) slices, Lady's Finger- Dried Prawns Sukkha Masala, Karathe Podi (Karela/ Bitter Gourd Tava Fries), Dalitoy (Spiced Tuvar Dal), SheetHa (Rice)” … a delicious meal with inclusion of dried fish/ sukkale sungata for fishitarians … served it with dalitoy- sheetHa along with a few tava fried karathe podi (bitter gourd fries) … Yummilicious …

** Preparing dried fish curry after a long time. Somehow I just could not get round to preparing this dish which was in my to do list for quite some time. With back-to-back festive days at times, preparing of non-veg dishes almost comes to a halt. Well, finally done and it was a wonderful meal. This one is for all those who love dried fish curry, so do try it out and give me a feedback if possible. ** For “Cucumber (Taushe) slices” … the taste of cucumber available during monsoon have a different taste and we just love them especially the dark skin variety. I just wash them well, wipe dry and then slice them with the skin on to be served as it is or with a dash of salt and pepper. Kept simple, it tastes wonderful.

** For “Karathe Podi (Karela/ Bitter Gourd Tava Fries)” recipe, you can follow any of the recipes shared in the given links below, while one is deep fried the other is air fried. For tava frying just place the prepared podi on a hot tava/ pan brushed with oil, then sprinkle some oil on top of the placed podi and fry until crisp on bottom, flip over and fry on top side too. Remove when crisp on both sides. …
