“My Delicious Monsoon Delicacy Veg. Thali- 356 : Taushe Tomato Raita (Cucumber Tomato Curd Salad), Karathe- Keerlu- Ambade Gashi (Bitter Gourd- Bamboo Shoots- Hogplum Curry, Pagila Podi (Spine Gourd/ Teasel Gourd Fries), Dalitoy (Spiced Tuvar Dal), Ukde SheetHa (Red Boiled Rice)” … it’s all monsoon veggies in my Thali today ... these vegetables have a unique taste of their own, even the cucumber we get tastes different and pagila is something we wait all year round to prepare into crisp fries … in all a tummy satisfying meal ... Yummilicious ….

** The magic of monsoon is that besides heavy rains, nature gives us rare veggies, flowers, fish etc. and we do need to be thankful for all these rare treasures. The taste of these veggies are so different from those obtained during other seasons. My thali today has all monsoon veggies including cucumber and tomatoes all from villages sources and I have prepared them all in our own traditional recipes and they taste wonderful.
