Raw Radish Onion Carrot Salad With Crushed Seasoning ...... A very healthy salad.
Peel off the skin of 1 medium sized radish and grate it, you should have about 3 cups of the grated radish. Peel off the skin and slice 2 large sized onions as thinly as possible. Keep this ready aside. Peel off the skin and grade 2 large sized carrots, you should have about 3 cups the same.
In a large bowl add in the radish, carrots and onions and toss well. Add in salt to taste and mix well.
To prepare crushed seasoning : Heat 1 tblsp oil in a small pan, add 1 tsp of mustard seeds, 1 tsp of jeera, 6-7 black pepper corns, 2-3 medium spicy green chillies cut into small pieces, 6-8 curry leaves all cut into small pieces. Fry for 2-3 minutes.
Remove from fire and allow to cool. Crush the seasoning with a heavy weight, stone or crusher.
Add the crushed seasoning to the mixed salt, squeeze half a lemon juice and mix well. Serve as side dish for lunch / dinner.
