My Simple Soul Satisfying Veg. Thali~ 377.


“My Simple Veg. Thali~ 377 : Bajjile Pappodu (Roasted Papad), Bhenda Upkari (Lady’s Finger Stir Fry/ Bhaji), Khallambe Gojju (Salt Preserved/ Brined Raw Mango Chutney), SheetHa (Rice)” … sharing my favourite mitta ghallele ambe gojju with lots of losun ... a soul satisfying- lip smacking meal served with steaming hot rice, a veggie and papad for added crunch … Yummilicious …

** Some dishes are so satisfying that you can enjoy your meal with that single dish and the one dish that comes to mind is Khallambe Gojju ie brined Raw Mango Chutney. This gojju served rice is indeed a soul satisfying meal that one really does not need any other dishes served along with. I have included veggie on health front and a papad for that extra crunch. The recipe is a age old traditional one from GSB Konkani Saraswat Cuisine enjoyed over generations and is known to almost all those who are foodies. I have shared this combo plenty of times, each time with a different veggie and you can very well guess by now that this is one of my most favourite meal prepared often in my home.
