“My Amchi Thali 80 … Vaingana Sagle (Brinjal Curry), Bondi Kirpula (Banana Flower Bhaji), Dalitoy (Spiced Tuvar Dal) and SheetHa (Rice)” … A heart warming Konkani Saraswat (Amchi) dishes for lunch … A welcome sight and tummy pleasing food after all those goodies relished during festive season ... Yummy Yumz …...
** Again it is a simple lunch that is really tummy filling and heart warming after all those goodies relished during festive season. Spicy dishes are always a welcome sight after festive season as one really tires out after eating all those savories and sweets. Dalitoy and rice in itself is a pleasure to relish with some chutney pitti for me and if there are some spicy side dishes its that much more delicious. Bondi kirpula / Banana flower bhaji was really a tedious work, what with all those chopping and cleaning, but my electric chopper does a good job of the same and now it’s a breeze work for me. In all a very satisfying combo meal if you love amchi ie konkani food the traditional way and yes, this one is just that a traditional meal in every way.
