“My Naivedyam Veg. Thali No~ 424 : Kokum Taak (Buttermilk), Chapathi (Roti), Jeevi TambadeBee-Suran-Kudampuli Hummana/ Hinga Randai (Fresh Rajma- Yam- Malabar Tamarind Curry), Veggie Peels Chutney Gooli: Gasale Shiri- Dudde Saali- Kothambari Palle Tarno Denta Gooli (Ridge Gourd Skin- Red Pumpkin Skin- Coriander Leaves Tender Stem Chutney), Gardudde- Kharik Halwa (Bottle Gourd- Dry Dates Halwa)” … prepared this simple “NO- Onion- Garlic- Rice Meals” on the auspicious occasion of Sankashti Chaturthi … Jai Guru Ganesh …

** Being Sankashti Chaturthi it was a “NO- Onion- Garlic- Rice Meals” for us and I was eager to prepare some Naivedyam with a twist on the auspicious occasion as it had been quite some time since I experimented. I had thought of preparing gardudde/ bottle gourd halwa, so decided to give it a twist adding kharuk (dry dates) powder along with jaggery instead of sugar which I normally do. Turned out great and I would like to try out new options, which I will share soon, so do follow me.

** “Jeevi TambadeBee-Suran-Kudampuli Hummana/ Hinga Randai (Fresh Rajma- Yam- Malabar Tamarind Curry)”, is a dish which I prepare often on days when we follow satvic meals. Fresh tender Red Beans/ Rajma is available in winter and I love to make the best use of them and this is one curry that tastes the best prepared with hing/ asafoetida seasoning along with coconut oil. Do try it, if you have not yet tasted it, it is mildly spiced and tastes awesome served with both rice- roti or shevai.

** “Veggie Peels Chutney Gooli: Gasale Shiri- Dudde Saali- Kothambari Palle Tarno Denta Gooli (Ridge Gourd Skin- Red Pumpkin Skin- Coriander Leaves Tender Stem Chutney)” is another chutney gooli dish I experimented newly today. I wanted to prepare assorted veggie peels chutney for a long time now, however could not get them in one go, finally I go the opportunity today and there it is all done. Tastes wonderful served with chapathi as well as ukde tandla pejja (red boiled rice porridge).

** All dishes in my Naivedyam Veg. Thali today are simple and I am sure all foodies are well aware of them and prepare them in their home too.
