My Simple Veg. Thali No~ 420.

“My Simple Veg. Thali No~ 420: Ambuli Nonche (Raw Mango Pickle), Kananga Podi (Sweet Potato Tava Fries), Boondi- Onion Kismuri (Salad), Vaingana (Gulla)- Ambade Bajji (Green Brinjal- Hogplum Bharta), SheetHa (Rice)” … simple- tasty- heartwarming veggie meal that is always a welcome sight in my home, especially when you want to go light on tummy …  Yummilicious …

** Some dishes are simple yet so satisfying that you can enjoy your meal with that single dish and KhatHa- Namkeen- TeekHa Bajji falls in this category. This bajji served rice along with a few tava fries is indeed a soul satisfying meal and I often prepare it when I want to go light on meals or too lazy to prepare curries.

** Bajji is a age old traditional side dish from GSB Konkani Saraswat Cuisine enjoyed over generations by and large prepared with brinjal, tomato, potato or brine raw mango, though there are a few more that are not so famous as the mentioned ones. Here my thali includes the one with brinjal- hogplum and it’s awesome.

** I added on sweet potato tava fries which in combo always tastes great and added on some boondi- onion kismuri (salad) as hubby loves to have salads during meals. Pickle is just an accompaniment for that added spice to meals though I prefer to avoid it, but then a little bit goes a long way, well, it’s a matter of choice.

** All dishes in my thali today are simple and I am sure you know how to cook them, but as is blogging duty, I will be sharing links to recipes, as is my usual practice with thali Items as they are already blogged elsewhere and there is really no point in repeating them, do excuse inconvenience caused if any.

** Once again, I would like to thank all my friends who encouraged me to start sharing my Thali posts to help out in decision of combining dishes in their own meals. Having said that, I request all to try out your own combinations that which your family love's and enjoy's. If you have request for any dish, plz. do comment.
