** There is nothing like steaming hot Pejja jevana (porridge rice meal) to beat the monsoon blues. It’s been raining crazy off and on for the last few days and the weather being gloomy I was in no mood to venture out for veggies. That’s it, I prepared talasani with French beans and decided on preparing happla kismuri for lunch that tastes best served with pejja (rice porridge) along with some pickle which is always in stock.

** I had not stocked on red chilly papad and only batate happolu (potato papad) was in stock and though I had never prepared kismuri using these papads, I thought why not? there is always a first time. I must say it was awesome which encourages me to try more options soon. About Pejja, I have written all I had to say, so will share a common link to them all at the bottom of this recipe which you may browse through in leisure.
