Mother Nature has her own way of balancing things as is required for the season, just like how we get plenty of different varieties of fruits during summer which definitely is the need to beat the heat ... here is a "Chilled Green Seedless Grapes Juice/ Draksha Juice" ... Thanda Thanda Cool Cool; to beat Mumbai summer heat that's just about started ... Fruit Juices are refreshing and delight to sip on as not only do they quench the thirst but are healthy too ... here is a delicious juice you must try when fresh grapes are in season ... Go ahead and enjoy this this one chilled sip by sip ... just too good ... Yummilicious ...

** I have always loved drinking fresh fruit juices from my childhood and went to the trouble of preparing them for all during weekends. During growing up years the knowledge of preparing them in different combinations was not so much in vogue and for us it was juices like mousambi, orange, grapes, watermelon, lemon by themselves and I must say those were the best days of my life, just happy go lucky.

** Over last two decades I have tried various mix and match of juices and there are plenty of them shared here which you may browse through in leisure. I have prepared this juice with just one ingredient and that's seedless green grapes. It's in season now and are available in plenty, so just go for it. You can serve it chilled or cold for best of taste and if advised against chilled drinks, then try room at temperature.

** Fruits should be an essential part of your daily diet because it supplies essential vitamins and minerals in abundance that contributes to good health. Green grapes are low in calories, contain zero grams of fat and pack a nutritional punch. The vitamins, minerals and fiber in fruit helps reduce your risk of many diseases. You should aim to include as many colors of fresh fruit as possible each day, so go for it.

** Green grapes contain vitamins C and K. Vitamin C plays an important role in preventing infection and also promotes the health of your bones, teeth, gums and blood vessels. A serving of green seedless grapes is a healthy source of potassium and iron. Potassium aids in organ, tissue, muscle, cell and heart functions. These are limited health benefits of grapes while there may still be many more.

** Eating a handful of seedless grapes or juicing them up is a healthy and simple way to add this fruit to your diet. Halve green seedless grapes and add them to a fruit salad or a tossed green salad. Freeze whole green grapes for a refreshing treat on a hot day. Puree green grapes into a fruit smoothie or scatter them over a bowl of hot or cold cereal. There are plenty of ways in which you can enjoy this fruit.

** Here is my simple method of preparing "Chilled Green Seedless Grapes Juice/ Draksha Juice" ... my style ...

** Wash 500 gms of green seedless grapes/ jeeve draksha well changing water a few times. Drain off excess water and put them into a blender with 1 cup of cold water and blend to a smooth paste. Add another cup of water and blend well. Sieve the juice using a fine sieve and add on some crushed ice cube (Optional) to be served. You can also keep it fridge for about an hour to be served cold, whichever way you prefer.

** Note : The fresh seedless green grapes I used were very sweet in taste, so I avoided addition of sugar. However, if desired you can add about 1-2 tsp of sugar (per glass), mix well before serving the juice too. Again, if desired you can add a dash of freshly squeezed juice of lime too in which case note that the grapes should not be sour in taste or else the taste will not be very pleasing, so be careful.

** "Chilled Green Seedless Grapes Juice/ Draksha Juice" is all done and ready to be served. Juices always taste best served chilled especially during summer months when you come home drained from the heat. However, its upto individual preference, so sip it on any way you prefer and enjoy the juice. I always prefer to serve it chilled along with some snacks during holidays or weekends during morning breaks.

** Do make it a point to add on fruits into you daily diets for health benefits. Make it a point to serve cut fruit pieces or juices during holidays/ weekends specially to children so that you cultivate a habit of having good healthy coolants instead of store bought bottled which will ruin their health in the long run. It is always healthy to take a mid break when you tire going about attending to loads of work piled on from over the week. Children too get famished after playing outdoors and a tall glass of healthy juice is always welcome. Do give it a try, you will be happy to see those faces beaming with joy as they sip it on with happiness, after all the first thing we want is the happiness of our family.
