“My Delicious Veg. Thali No~ 400 : Cucumber Raita (Taushe’ Salad), Jeevi Tori- Batato- Bibbo ghalnu Hinga Randai/ Hummana (Fresh Green Pigeon Peas- Potato- Cashew Nuts Curry), Harve Kele Podi (Raw Banana Fries), Ukde SheetHa (Red Boiled Rice)” … today’s thali is simple- tasty tummy filling veggie meal that includes traditional dishes from GSB Konkani Saraswat Cuisne … Yummilicious …

** There are some traditional seasonal dishes that I crave to have and eagerly wait for the veggies to flood the market. Fresh pigeon peas is one of them, be it prepared as simple upkari or added to curry, it imparts a unique flavor of its own and frankly does not need any other dishes to be served along with it. Prepared Hummana today with fresh pigeon peas and served it along with red boiled rice and it was fantastic. 

** I added on some raw banana fries to make the meal that much more tastier and also along with it some raita prepared using only cucumber, curds and spices. Though I have been shunning away from preparing a full thali meals these days to keep lunch simple, I somehow end up preparing wonderful combo dishes as sometimes there is the need to finish of veggies stocked in fridge to avoid them being wasted.
