** Summer has already begun to show its effects on us and the heat in Mumbai is unbearable after the cool winter. Simple meal is best consumed for a body cooling effect, especially after festive days when you have enjoyed a hearty Naivedyam meal that gets carried over for atleast one day if not for two as is in my case. Matti gulla ie green brinjal from Udupi district (Karnataka State) is every south Indian’s favourtie be it prepared as bajji, bajo, podi or added to dishes. Simple saar is also a great combo when served with rice and sprouts provide ample protein required for the body needs.

** Sharing links to recipes of all dishes shared in the above thali, as is my usual practice with thali Items as they are already shared in the Blog elsewhere and there is really no point in repeating the same. Do try out various combos of items in meals and enjoy them with your family and friends.
