"My Amchi Thali 124 : Kirlailele Moogu Beetroot Upkari (Sprouted Green Moong Beetroot Bhaji), Sukkale Sungata Panna Upkari (Dried Prawns Spicy Curry), Khatta Meetha Teekha Tomato Gojju, Besan Kadhi, SheetHa (Rice), Red+White Ukdo Tandle Shevai (Boiled Rice String Hoppers/ Idiyappam), Aapus Ambe' Aamras (Alphonso Mango Puree)" ... Shevai was for bf. with pickle, but I love having it for lunch, so had some with panna upkari ... Yummilicious ......

** Posting a thali, with the most sought after dish “Aamras” which I am sure all of you are familiar with. For those who don’t know,  this is sweetened mango puree with a dash of cardamom (optional) and served chilled as a side dish along with poori. Aamras is a common sight in every home in Mumbai and also at functions and celebrations during mango season. Everybody simply loves to relish the same, specially when prepared using "Aapus/Alphonso" mangoes which is considered to be the King of all Mangoes. This deep orange coloured sweet mango when prepared in puree form is a delight to relish as it is or with poori/roti and is a must when in season. Once again I presenting a Amchi dishes Thali with traditional shevai added on too. It is always a delight to relish Thali, but somehow not so during summer, so for time being I will be posting less of them as it is really difficult to digest it in this scorching Mumbai heat, so please do excuse me for the same. Mumbai heat has really turned unbearable and I hope to see the rains soon, Ahhaaa, then it will be bliss and promise to come up with more veg. and non.veg combo meals as well as thali.
