Pineapple~Orange-Grapes Curry with Pineapple-Orange-Grape Sasam & Pickled Pineapple.

"Avanasa~Santra~Draksha Sasam (Pineapple~ Orange- Grapes Curry) with Pickled Pineapple (Avanasa/Ananas) and Spicy Vegetable Upma (Rulavu)" ... My today's Satvik lunch ... tummy full dishes ... Enjoy ….

** Here is a simple combo meal pattern for those who like relishing different types of meals other than the routine rice and its products. Whenever I have to go out on office work or it’s a day that I would like to keep something simple yet tasty and nutritious or when it is a fasting ie upwas day I prepare rava either as upma or as bhakri. In our community we do relish wheat products for fasting and I feel quite happy in relishing this breakfast Item for lunch too when accompanied with a side dish either that can be eaten with upma or relished as it is. Whenever I want to relish upma as it is I make this spicier version sort of biryani style by addition of veggies and its done. You can serve this one as it is and it does not need anything else as an accompaniment, but if you still need you could either choose plain curds or a raita and it would simply taste great.

** Avanasa Ambe Sasam / Pineapple Mango Mustard Curry is a famous dish from Konkani Saraswat Cuisine that is prepared when in season and makes a prominent place for itself at all occasions and functions. The same can be prepared with other similar fruits that compliment each other well when mangoes are not in season and they taste great though nothing beat the mango edition traditional ones. Many a times I prepare them with addition of apples, oranges, peaches etc. when mangoes are not in season but pineapples are available in plenty, so today I prepared them with seasonal fruits ie Pineapple-Orange-Black Grapes. Well, this is s dessert sort of dish and can be eaten as it is. As for Pickled Pineapple they are tongue ticklers that taste awesome during winter season being khatHa meetHa teekHa. Just a little bit of this pickle served with any dish tastes great.

** This is again a combo meal pattern wherein the dish recipes are posted separately as individual posts and you can follow them through the links given below.
