My Thali 54.


“My Thali 54 … My Thali ... Pumpkin~Tree Sorrel Gojju (Dudhya~Bimbula Gojju) .. Kadgi Chakko (Raw Jackfruit Dry Curry) .. Tomato~ Onion Salad .. Dalitoy (Spiced Tuvar Dal) With tomato & Coriander (Dhania) leaves .. Rice (SheetHa) ... A delicious combination of Amchi Dishes ... Yummilicious ......... 

** Once again posting my simple Thali for all my friends here. I will not run into any details here on any individual dishes as they are all shared in individual posts. This is just a combination pattern for you to follow if at all you are confused as to what you want to prepare if you have friends or relatives over for lunch / dinner. Today’s thali has all items that are famous in Konkani Saraswat’s Cuisine. Sharing the links to each of the items below, please go through the link for the recipe that you desire to try out.

1. "Khatta~MeetHa Dudhya~Bimbla Gojju / Pumpkin~Tree Sorrel Gojju" ... A little bit of gojju as a side dish is very Tantalizing and makes the lunch that much more appealing ... Try this simple gojju prepared with yellow pumpkin and bimbul … Yummilicious ….**

2. “Kadgi Chakko / Raw Jackfruit Sukka” …. This Konkani Saraswat dish needs no introduction ….. A semi dry medium spicy curry that can be enjoyed both with Roti / Chapati or as an accompaniment to Dalitoy and Rice ….

3. “Simple Tomato~Onion~Cucumber Salad" Recipe …This is the same as the simple tossed tomato-onion salad where in I have just added in finely chopped cucumber, while the recipe remains same, so including the tomato-onion link below ..

4. “Dalitoy (Spiced Tuvar Dal) With tomatoes" … A delicious Konkani Saraswat Dal that tastes well with rice. A must during every meal in our community, we simply love our dal with rice. This time I have added some tomatoes and coriander leaves, tastes yumz.

5. “Cooking Rice Starch Free / Vanu ghalnu SheetHa” … Rice cooked and the water is drained off to remove excess starch. The rice remains well cooked without sticking to each other … Do try this formula / method of cooking as it is very healthy.
