My Thali ~ 48.

My Simple Thali ~ 48. “Spicy Sanna Idly with Rice And Cabbage, Karanda Nonche (Natal Plum Pickle), Batato~Piyava Upkari (Potato~Onion Bhaji) served with our very own Dalitoy (Spiced Tuvar Dal) and Rice along with some fried Vodi (Store Bought)” … A simple but delicious food that makes you crave for more ... Yummy Yumz …...

Once again posting my simple Thali for all my friends here. I will not run into any details here on any individual dishes as they are all shared in individual posts. This is just a combination pattern for you to follow if at all you are confused as to what you want to prepare if you have friends or relatives over for lunch / dinner. Today’s is a typical Amchi, GSB Konkani Saraswat traditional dishes in the Thali. Sharing the links to each of the items below, please go through the link for the recipe that you desire to try out.

** Given Below are the links to the dishes in the Thali above ........

1. “Spicy Sanna Idly With Idly Rava (Ready Rice Rava) And Cabbage” … A traditional Konkani Saraswat dish that is prepared with many variations … Tastes best with Dalitoy (Spiced Tuvar Dal) and Rice … Yumz …….**
** Here is the link to the Recipe .....

2. “Karanda Nonche /Karvanda/Karonda/Natal Plum Pickle (Uppinkai)” … Amshe ~ Tikshe ~ Midshe Nonche - Jevana vottuchi laika jatta … A little bit of this Tangy ~ Spicy ~ Salty Pickle served during lunch/dinner goes a long way and makes the lunch more delicious and appetizing … You can serve a little bit of this with lunch or dinner or even with Idly/dosa for bf. Above all we Konkani Saraswat’s prepare it without using oil, so it is a better option than the store bought one’s … Karanda is available in market now, so prepared this spicy nonce / pickle to relish with all dishes … Yumm …

3. Sharing the link for Gherkins-Potato-Onions Bhaji, as somehow I don’t know how a common bhaji of potato onion seems to be missing in the blog as it is a dish prepared at least once in 10 days in my home. Will definitely click and post the same in some time. The recipe is the same, just skip out the gherkins while preparing …

** Here is the link to the Recipe .....

4. “Dalitoy (Spiced Tuvar Dal)" …. A delicious Konkani Saraswat Dal that tastes well with rice. A must during every meal in our community, we simply love our dal with rice.

** Here is the link to the Recipe .....

5. “Cooking Rice Starch Free / Vanu ghalnu SheetHa” … Rice cooked and the water is drained off to remove excess starch. The rice remains well cooked without sticking to each other … Do try this formula / method of cooking as it is very healthy.
