Fresh Carrot Juice.

“Fresh Carrot Juice” …. A refreshing early morning drink with oodles of benefits ....

Carrots are now plenty in season and no … off course they just not for Bugs Bunny. A glass of freshly prepared carrot juice every morning can take you a long way towards good health Carrot juice is a delicious and nutritious drink rich in beta carotene, vitamins A, B, C, D, E, and K, and minerals like calcium and helps improve your immune function, protect skin and eye health. This is one juice that is perfect to jump start your day with …. So go ahead and Enjoy this glass of freshly prepared carrot juice

For Preparing the Juice : For this juice all one needs is plenty of carrots and a good juicer / blender whichever is available at home. I prepared them with the red variety carrots which in Mumbai is called as Delhi Gajar which is a bit sweeter and is used extensively in preparation of gajar ka halwa.

Wash about 6 large sized carrots well under running water as sometimes they have sand and mud sticking to them. Peel off the skin as thinly as possible. If you have very fresh one’s and cleaned well you can just scrub them with a thick cloth if they have no roots attached to skin. Whichever method you choose. Clean the carrots properly. Chop them into medium sized pieces and put them in a mixer blender or juicer, with about 2 cups of water and run till you get a smooth paste. Add in 2 more glasses of water and mix well. Remove and strain through a fine / thick sieve as per your choice. Thin sieve if used will give you a juice without any fiber and vice versa as per your liking.

Your carrot juice is ready to be served. This juice is best had fresh as it is without the addition of any spices or sweeteners. I never add any. But if you like you can add in some kala namak / salt and pepper powder. The addition of spices and salt is exclusively upto individual liking. I will not recommend the same as I repeat, this carrot juice is best had, freshly prepared as it is without the addition of anything except water for health benefits.
