Banana Anjeer Milk Shake With MW Masala Cashews.

Chilled Banana Anjeer (Fresh Figs) Milk Shake With Microwaved Cashews Seasoned with Salt And Pepper Powder .......

With all that heavy food in the last few weeks, though there are still some more festivals lined up everybody’s tummy must be playing havoc on them...... “Pota Gudu Gudu kartari assuka”, meaning “The stomach must be rumbling within”. This happens often when there are continuous functions or festivals lined up. It is always advisable to go light at such times the next few days. Fruit juices are the best to aid digestion of a heavy stomach. So why not give the stomach a bit of rest and have this Healthy Juice that is very Digestive too ......... So here is ... "Chilled Banana Anjeer (Fresh Figs) Milk Shake " With Microwaved Cashews Seasoned with Salt And Pepper Powder ....... well just a word of caution ..... Just leave out the cashews or just have 1 or 2 coz. Cashews will not help in any digestion. This is served just to tickle the senses into satisfying that you have eaten something too. Just replace one meal of the day with this Juice only.

Anjeer or Fresh Figs are very good in cleansing the stomach. Even the dried variety is good when consumed as it is or after soaking it in water. I have added bananas along with them to add in some bulk and also make it more nutritious. Banana on its own is a complete meal with lots of nutrients in it. It is always advice able to have them at twice or thrice a week.

Here is the method to preparation of Chilled Banana Anjeer (Fresh Figs) Milk Shake : The recipe is really very simple. Just wash and wipe clean 6-8 ripe anjeer / figs. Cut off the stem and chop them to pieces. Peel off the skin of one large sized banana and chop them also to pieces.

Put the chopped banana and anjeer pieces in a blender / mixer with half a cup of sugar and 2 cups of skimmed milk. Blend to a smooth puree. Add some crushed ice and run the blender once again. Remove and pour it out into a vessel. If the puree is too thick you can add in some more water. Check the sugar, add if necessary and mix well. Keep it in the fridge to chill for an hour or so. Serve chilled with some snack or as it is.
