Amchi Special Fish Thali 12.


Raja Panna Upkari Ambado ghalnu, Fried Raja, Patrade Gashi Ambado ghalnu ani Ukde Sheetha / Spicy Mackerel Curry with Hogplum, Fried Mackerel, Colocasia leaves rolls curry with Hogplum and Red Boiled Rice ......


Raja Panna Upkari is a spicy thin gravy dish served with rice. A very famous GSB preparation with Mackerels which is prepared by seasoning onions and then adding spices to it.


Fried mackerels / raja are deep fried fish after applying some masala to the same. Here the fish can be kept whole, cut to full length vertically or cut into two pieces. They and cleaned, given gashes on sides, masala is then applied to them and kept covered in fridge for a few hours. They are then rolled in rice flour and deep fried in hot oil. 


Patrade gashi is once again an exclusively GSB / Saraswats dish. These are rolls made out of colocasia leaves after applying the prepared masala to them and steaming the same. They are then sliced and soaked in a medium spiced gravy which is seasoned with onions. This is served with rice / red boiled rice.
