Yummilicious ....

** Breakfast is the most important food for every individual, it literally means breaking the fast, rightly so as a person takes a gap of atleast minimum 6-8 hours between dinner and morning food, there by a perfect word breakfast.

** Amma always insisted that we have a good nutritious tummy filling breakfast before we left home, be it to school, college, job, purchasing or just a playtime during holidays. The first meal of the day kept us going through the day.

** There are many breakfast dishes in India that people of different religions follow. We from GSB Konkani Saraswat Community still follow the age old tradition of breakfast items chalked out for us from our ancestors and we just love it.

** Poha, upma, idly, dosa, oondi, shevai etc. are just a few to name from the endless list of items prepared served for breakfast. Our ancestors believed in enjoying a good, healthy breakfast and going lighter on food as the day proceeds.

** A person who has a good and fulfilling breakfast can pull through the day with easy when he attends to his official works. This is the very reason that the breakfast a person consumes should good, wholesome and energetic.

** The lunch too is a full meal as there is still major part of the day remaining with loads of work to attend too. However dinner being the last meal is the lightest food consumed, as it is strongly believed that the body and mind both need rest.

** Poha (beaten rice) prepared for breakfast in plenty of methods be it in form of usli or pova chutney a spiced masala mixed with poha, then there is kanda poha or batata poha a favorite snack of all, not to forget the sweetened ones.

** There are many more uses of poha of which recipes I have already included in my Blog, so please use the search option or label section for more choices on breakfast, lunch, dinner and many more recipes.

** Today's breakfast as mentioned on title is "Kirlailele Mooga Upkari (Sprouted Whole Green Gram Bhaji) served with Pova Usli (Seasoned Beaten Rice)" a lovely combination often served in my community for breakfast, tastes wonderful.

** Kadak Adraki Chai (Strong Ginger Tea) is my favorite and just one cup a day in the morning is sort of lifeline to me, though in my community the most favored one is decoction/ filter coffee/ kaapi, you may serve as per your choice.

** All the recipes in the picture have already been shared before and I will be sharing only links to them below as is my practice with combined dishes post. Inconvenience is regretted however I hope you all agree that there is no point in repeats.
