Plum Juice.

Plum Juice ...........

Plum is a dark red coloured fruit of which the pulp is very Juicy. The fruit is both a bit sour and sweet. The skin of plum available in India is purplish red in colour. There is a large stone like seed placed in the centre of the fruit. The same fruit when dried is known as prunes. The fruit is very good for health. It regulates the functioning of digestive system, good for the eyes and helps in relieving constipation. The juice of the fruit is light on the stomach too.

Method : Wash and wipe 8-10 plums. Slice off the sides, carefully remove all the pulpy portions and cut them into pieces. Remove and discard the center seed. 

Put the sliced pieces in a blender add about a cup of sugar (more or less depending upon individual taste), one cup of water and blend to a very fine paste. 

Remove in a vessel. Add Juice of one freshly squeezed lemon to the plum juice and mix well. Add 2-3 glasses of water, but keep the juice a bit on thicker side. You can add more water if required later. 

Keep it in the fridge for few hours and serve the juice chilled.
